Yuri On Ice!!! Book Tag

Hello all and happy Thursday! I am soooooooooooooooo unbelievably OBSESSED with Yuri On Ice!!! it’s not even funny, y’all. I have no idea why I’m so late to the game on this anime and I have absolutely no freaking idea why my fellow otaku (refers to someone who has a devotion to a subject or hobby, like anime, to the point of not leaving home) friends have not recommended this show to me yet but I am so glad that I got to it on my own because AHHHHHHHH! Haha, sorry for yelling but my feelings are all over the place after finishing the entire first season and now I’m dying for the movie that comes out in 2019 but I am literally one of the most impatient people on the planet so I thought I’d do this Yuri On Ice inspired book tag that I found over on Lindsey’s blog to hold me over for now. I hope you guys enjoy!

A Book Character You Really Relate To

YURI_OMG_OMF_OMFOFMFF

Louisa “Lou” Clark from Me Before You is the most relatable character I have ever read! She is clumsy (but in a lovable way) and quite quirky and strange. I loved reading a character so similar to myself and I truly felt for her the entire time.

A Legendary, Well-Loved Book That’s So Worth the Hype

I feel like Six of Crows is a well-loved and hyped book that is well deserving of its legendary status. I was already such a huge fan of Leigh Bardugo’s work and when she put out Six of Crows I didn’t hesitate to pick it up and was, thankfully, not disappointed in the least!

Your Most Anticipated Upcoming Debut

I am so excited for Sea Witch by Sarah Henning to come out on July 31st! It will, hopefully, be an epic read!

Phichit Chulanont

A Book Character You Wish You Could Follow On Social Media

I have no idea why but I would really like to follow either Annabeth or Percy from the Percy Jackson series. They seem like fun folks!

Christophe Giacometti

A Book You Love But Would Be Uncomfortable Reading In Public

maxresdefault (1)

I loved Changeling by Philippa Gregory but there are a couple of awkward sections that always have my face turning red when reading it in public. I know that no one knows what I’m reading cause it’s an innocent looking cover but I still feel the embarrassment.

Otabek Altin

A Favorite You Weren’t Expecting

Surprisingly I was quite reluctant to pick up Stalking Jack the Ripper when it first came out (I have no idea why, it’s phenomenal) but I did not expect to fall head over heels for it. It’s an amazing series and I can’t wait for Escaping From Houdini to come out soon!

JJ Leroy

A Character That Would Totally Have Their Own Theme Song

maxresdefault (3)

Hmmm, I think Finnick Odair from the Hunger Games trilogy would legitimately have his own theme song that all his little fans at the Capital would play whenever he made public appearances.

A Book That Won You Over With Its Cuteness

I already love Greek Mythology but I truly fell in love with Oh My Gods because of how cute Phoebe and Griffin are at their Hogwarts-esque school for the descendants of Greek gods.

Nishigori Family

A Bookish Character You Would Totally Name Your Kids After

That is so difficult because I’ve actually thought about this a LOT (probably too much) but I’d have to say for a girl, Reneesme from Twilight (yes, I genuinely like the name) and Jonathan Christopher (a.k.a Jace) from The Mortal Instruments for my boy.

Your Favorite Bookish LGBTQIA+ Relationship

Ahhhh, so hard because I love so many so much but…..obviously I have to go with Magnus and Alec from The Mortal Instruments series. I just can’t with those two. Their love completes me!

On Love: Eros

Your Favorite Flirty Character

Even though I already mentioned him, I love Finnick from the Hunger Games trilogy. But for a girl, I’d have to go with Nina from the Six of Crows duology.

On Love: Agape

Your Favorite Bookish Platonic Relationship

I’d have to go with the friendship/bromance/brothership between Alec and Jace from the Mortal Instruments series. Yes I know, Alec used to be in love with Jace but you know what, that’s in the past and their relationship is 100% platonic!86521e6cd3ee08b61e2560ca520b382a

  2. Yay, thanks for doing this tag! Love your choices, so many good books like Six of Crows, Stalking Jack the Ripper, the Mortal Instruments… and yeah Finnick would totally have his own theme song 🙂
OMG yes for the movie, I can’t wait for 2019! Guess I’ll have to rewatch Yuri On Ice again and again in anticipation 🙂
